FAQ – Frequently asked questions
Why do cutting-off wheels become damaged during use?
A cutting-off wheel can be damaged due to an inappropriate cutting machine, because the workpiece blocks the cutting-off wheel during its operation or because of excessively rough handling of the cutting-off wheel.
Damage to a cutting-off wheel may also occur in the event that it is used for grinding. This is because cutting-off wheels are not intended for grinding and cannot withstand higher lateral loads.
When can cutting-off wheels break apart?Product breakage may result from:
- too rough cutting,
- inappropriate clamping plate or clamping,
- a damaged central hole,
- a worn out machine spindle.
